I was born and raised in Michigan. I am the youngest of three kids and my mother was the primary provider for the family, working as a registered nurse specializing in labor and delivery. What I learned from my mom at a young age was a very strong work ethic, being detailed oriented and having a tenacious sense of urgency and commitment that I find valuable in my career. My mom and I moved to Orange County when I was 15.
My first serious position was with Nordstrom Department Store in South Coast Plaza where I worked in sales, customer service and the cash room. After eight years at Nordstrom, I moved to the payroll industry where I worked for Paychex as a customer service and new accounts representative for ten years. While working at Paychex, my friend Stacie Brick, who was already working for Don and Ken, asked if I would be interested in helping out by creating the listing brochures. In March 2005, Don and Ken offered me a full-time position as an additional assistant to the growing team.
As an administrative assistant to The Bowen Team, I have been responsible for the marketing, advertising, photography and creating brochures for all of our listings. Through the years with our expansion, my current position has evolved into the operations manager, where I am responsible for the daily operations of the company, bookkeeping, creating new marketing and advertising pieces, assisting all the agents, reporting to Re/Max Corporate, wearing any hat needed and making sure the company runs like a well-oiled machine. Working for a high volume, highly productive successful real estate team, I believe you must have a tremendous sense of urgency, a strong commitment for the success of the team, outstanding attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills and a great passion for my work. In my opinion you must also have the “I own it” mindset.
Spare time is a precious commodity, so when I have some I relish time with my family, two cats and friends. In my free time I also enjoy baking, cooking, watching movies and sports, listening to music and a little mall therapy goes a long way!
